Housing: A Step Towards Security and DignityLIFE Mission Apartment Complex
A home is more than just a shelter—it is a dream, a source of security, and the foundation of a dignified life. With the noble objective of providing safe and decent housing to the most vulnerable sections of society and homeless families, Nenmanikkara Grama Panchayat has envisioned the LIFE Mission Apartment Complex, a landmark housing initiative with a long-term social impact.
The project aims to rehabilitate landless families included in the existing LIFE Mission beneficiary list, ensuring them a permanent and secure place to live. In its first phase, the initiative is expected to transform the lives of 68 beneficiary families, offering a lasting solution to the challenges of homelessness and housing insecurity.
The apartment complex is being constructed on one acre of land acquired through the joint efforts of the District Panchayat and Block Panchayat. The project is estimated to cost ₹10 crore, reflecting the Panchayat’s commitment to inclusive development and social welfare.
The project’s planning, design, and technical framework have been prepared by the Government Engineering College Thrissur, with professional supervision from its Department of Civil Engineering, ensuring high standards of quality, sustainability, and modern construction practices.
To support the initiative, ₹50 lakh has already been allocated in the State Budget, marking a significant step toward its realization.
Guided by the vision of “One Home, One Dream,” Nenmanikkara Grama Panchayat continues to work towards building a more inclusive society by providing every deserving family with a safe, secure, and dignified place to call home.
