Grama Panchayat

Institutional Structure

Nenmanikkara Grama Panchayat is a Local Self-Government Institution functioning on the basis of the Kerala Panchayat Raj Act, 1994 and the rules related thereto. The functions of the Panchayat are coordinated and implemented jointly by elected representatives and administrative officials.

The Elected Council is formed by members elected from 16 wards of the Grama Panchayat. The head of the Elected Council is the Panchayat President, and the co-head is the Vice President. Decisions regarding development projects, the annual plan, budget, and public welfare activities are taken in Panchayat meetings.

Various Standing Committees function to implement the Panchayat's activities efficiently. The following Standing Committees are generally in place:

• Finance Standing Committee
• Development Affairs Standing Committee
• Welfare Affairs Standing Committee
• Health-Education Standing Committee

The day-to-day administrative functions of the Panchayat are carried out by the staff under the leadership of the Secretary.

പഞ്ചായത്തിന്റെ വിവിധ വികസന-ക്ഷേമ പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങൾ നടപ്പിലാക്കുന്നതിനായി താഴെപ്പറയുന്ന Implementing Departments പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നു:

• Krishi Bhavan
• Health Department
• Animal Husbandry Department
• ICDS (Anganwadi)
• Kudumbashree
• Haritha Karma Sena
• Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS)

ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്തിലെ ഓരോ വാർഡും ഒരു Gram Sabhaയായി പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നു. Gram Sabhaയാണ് തദ്ദേശ സ്വയംഭരണത്തിന്റെ അടിസ്ഥാന ഘടകം. വികസന പദ്ധതികളുടെ രൂപീകരണത്തിലും ജനങ്ങളുടെ ആവശ്യങ്ങൾ ഭരണസമിതിയുടെ ശ്രദ്ധയിൽപ്പെടുത്തുന്നതിലും Gram Sabhaകൾ നിർണായക പങ്ക് വഹിക്കുന്നു.
